Fern Mallis, on the air w/ Ms. New York CIty
Hosting a radio
show and creating New York Fashion Week makes me want to high five Fern right
now. Come on really, who wouldn’t want to high five the person who created New
York City Fashion Week. New York City Fashion Week held in New York during February
and September each year, the time where designers showcase their work for the
media and press to write about and share with everyone reading magazines or scrolling
through the internet. Yup she is the one who created all of this. She is also
the global ambassador for IMG organizing many fashion events, fashion shows,
helping students, and much more. You can also tell besides fashion that Fern is
such a dog lover. Do you love dogs? Seriously, though? How can you not love this?
Fern and puppies, they are way too cute. Meet Zelda, Zola, and Polly.
So how did New
York Fashion Week even start? It’s something the fashion lovers would want to
know, including me. Well according to an interview with Fern and Blouin
ArtInfo, New York Fashion Week started one day when Michael Kors had a show and
during the show the ceiling began to fall apart all over the models and
everyone. As this happened Fern began looking for future places for designers
to show their clothes and shows. The fashion visionary also host her own radio
show giving updates on fashion news, designers, runways, and more so be sure to tune in and listen! Next time you see
Fern at fashion week or an event, be sure to say hi. She’s always around with a
smile on her face! Next time you see Fern at fashion week or an event, be sure

Thanks for reading everyone
