Ellen DeGeneres

Hello Ellen, how was your weekend? Did you eat any pizza? Pizza is one of my favorite foods along with hotdogs. Oh yeah, did you know that whenever I go to a fancy restaurant I order chicken tenders and french fries. When I go to work fashion week in New York City when I go out is till order that. Yup. Well, back to pizza, I ordered some yesterday and was eating left overs for lunch today. It was pepperoni with sausages on top with a Kool-Aid Jammer – just joking, the Kool-Aid didn’t come with the meal I already had one open but overall it was very delicious.

Oh hey guys so how many of you love Ellen? I see you saying yes in your head right now and for the ones that paused I can see you saying yes in your head right now too. Well I love Ellen. When you think of a television host you think mostly of people who sit there, crack funny jokes, make smart remarks, enjoy the company of other celebrities, and get paid for 60 minutes on TV. Ellen DeGeneres is one of my favorite hosts because she has incorporated her personal life into her TV show with everyday life. She has shown us that no matter where we come from or who we are as a person we can still be successful in life. She is very proactive with her fans and shows it in every single show. She is a role model to many and has proved herself in many ways.

Ellen first started off with her sitcom called "Ellen", which aired from 1994 until 1998. The series as based around a bookstore owner that dealt with the daily life problems. It was one of the first series that had a main character come out as being gay, which in the 1990's, was a big deal. Her coming out as being gay, really showed her true courage and inspired many others in the same situation. Being gay was a subject that was not really being talked about by many and her show was back-lashed. The controversy that it sparked caused ABC to place an parental advisory warning at the beginning of each episode. It was Ellen's talent as a comedian that kept the show alive. The show had a successful five seasons before it was canceled. The show was a big hit since its first season and was nominated for 11 daytime Emmy Awards, which it won four overall that year. Over the next three seasons of the show, it has won 25 Emmy awards. The success of the show comes from the comedian side and Ellen’s ability to connect and relate to her audience. She is always seen singing and dancing with them during her show.

It was not until “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that was introduced at the end of 2003 that she was credited the fame she deserved. Her show always grabs my attention and seems to keep it for the full hour. I really love the show and all it has to offer. I believe she is pop culture because she is in everyday life. She always includes celebrities in her show and has them talk about their life and what they are currently doing. Whether it’s a show, a magic trick, or a recent movie they took part off. She even gives back a lot which gets people talking. She’s always helping people who are less fortunate. We have seen this in her show with many people’ whether her bank account is small or if they are living on the streets. I love that part because it shows how caring she really is.

She is the kind of person that loves to help other people and has opened our eyes to the gay side of the world. She has opened many doors for those that are in the same situation and what to get ahead in life. She has showed the world that no matter who you are, to always be true to yourself. She has shown me that anything is possible in life and always believe in yourself, because when you believe and dream, it can come true.
